Quotes from Teen Camp Preaching

"God can use you to influence the entire world, but you must be yielded to Him."

"There is no time for serving the Lord like the earliest days of youth." ~Spurgeon

"Godly character begins with your heart. Our character reflects what's in our heart."

"Fearing God comes from a walk with God."

"Your human relationships are a reflection of your divine relationship."

"A life that is spent for the eternal will matter forever."

"If God is going to use our life, we must be tender in every area."

"It doesn't take a lot to serve God - He wants to take the little we have and multiply it...Don't worry about what you don't have...We need to live with our talents in an open hand. God will take the little we have and do a miracle. When we give everything to God, He will multiply it more than we could ever imagine."

Teen Camp

Well...teen camp was awesome! I had a blast and got to play paintball for the first time...most people were shocked that I played including my brother when I told him. I would totally play again! It was great to see God work in the lives of the teens. They shared some great testimonies the Sunday night after camp. I got to be the official photographer for camp as well as the camp nurse - being nurse was quite interesting...definitely made for some interesting memories...

I took close to 3,000 pictures...don't worry I am only going to post a few...

Spurgeon's Prayer

"Now, Lord,
Not my will, but Yours be done.
I don't know what to do, but I'll wait,
for my heart is fixed on You alone, O God,
and my spirit waits in full conviction
that You'll yet be my joy
and my salvation,
my refuge,
and strong tower"

My Crazy Summer and Sadly Neglected Blog...

Summer has been flying by and I have been sadly neglecting my blog. With all the craziness I have been trying to stay off of the computer as much as possible. I uploaded some pictures for ya'll to see and hope you enjoy them.

The week before last we had VBS at church - we had a great time and many kids were saved. I was the "VBS secretary" so I was busy running around doing a number of different things.

Last week was quite crazy with all the wedding stuff. My dear friend Charity was married. We have grown up together and have been friends for 18 years. Most of my summer has been busy with bridal showers, getting dresses and other wedding plans. The wedding turned out very beautiful!

Next week, I am headed to camp to be a counselor for our church's teen camp. I am looking forward to that and excited about what God is going to do in the hearts of the teens as well as the counselors.

Later this week, I get to see my new nephew and next Tuesday my other sister-in-law is going in to have her baby! So I will be a new auntie times two...can't wait to meet my two newest nephews!

I can hardly believe that in just a couple of more weeks it will be back to school. Time sure does fly!
