Have you forgotten God?

Deuteronomy 8 -

11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;13 And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

It is so very sad how our nation has turned its back on God. Even more sadly though, are Christians who have backslidden and are now following the ways of the world. Sometimes even in the lives of "dedicated" Christians, God has taken a back seat. Way too often, this is true in my life.

What about you? Have you forgotten God today? Have you opened up your Bible and asked God to show you wondrous things out of His law? Or is your Bible lying dusty on the shelf?

Prayer is not a preparation for work, it is the work. Prayer is not preparation for the battle, it is the battle” -Oswald Chambers

Spring break!

So far spring break has been absolutely crazy! I think I am finally recovering from playing kickball at Brenda and Sanz house on Friday. I definitely need to get in better shape. Saturday Mom, Joanna and I were able to visit my grandparents and go to tea with my grandmother. It was very nice to relax and spend time with my family.

Last night, my parents picked up my niece and nephew, who will be with us until sometime tomorrow. They have livened our house up quite a bit. :) My brother is in the process of moving this week.

I am almost finished getting my graduation invitations ready to send out. It is hard to believe in four weeks I will finally be finished with school! I still have a number of projects to finish up though. I was hoping to put a dent in them this week, but that doesn't seem to be happening (thanks to my three little distractions).

Psalm 4:3-5

"But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD."
